Modern Military II v1.90.15 is a large-scale military addon for Minecraft Bedrock Edition that adds modern firearms, tactical weapons, weapon attachments, military equipment, explosive items, special ammunition systems, team gear, armor, visual effects, custom sounds and a dedicated Gunsmith workstation. It is designed for players who want to transform Minecraft into a modern combat experience with assault rifles, sniper rifles, pistols, submachine guns, machine guns, launchers, grenades and tactical nuclear weapons.
The addon combines a Resource Pack and a Behavior Pack. The Behavior Pack contains item behavior, weapon functions, projectile logic and JavaScript events, while the Resource Pack provides textures, sounds, animations, models and visual effects.
Modern Military II focuses on modern combat gameplay rather than survival farming, breeding or fantasy creatures. Most weapons are obtained through crafting recipes, commands or the custom Gunsmith system. Several firearms support attachments such as suppressors, scopes, lasers, stocks, magazines, grips, flashlights and weapon skins.
- Modern firearms and tactical weapons
- Assault rifles, battle rifles, sniper rifles and pistols
- Submachine guns and light machine guns

- Steel is created from iron ingots and flint and steel.
- Polymer is created from a normal potion and a milk bucket.

Always test destructive commands such as the tactical nuke in a separate world. Create a backup before using explosive equipment in an important survival world.
- Make a backup of the Minecraft world where the addon will be installed.
- Import the addon package or copy the Resource Pack and Behavior Pack folders to the appropriate Minecraft Bedrock development pack directories.
- Open Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
- Create a new world or edit an existing world.
- Open the Resource Packs section.
- Activate the Modern Military II Resource Pack.
- Open the Behavior Packs section.
- Activate the Modern Military II Behavior Pack.
- Enable the experimental features requested by the addon or by your Minecraft version.
- Enable cheats if you want to use commands and functions.
- Make sure the Behavior Pack and Resource Pack have matching versions.
- Enter the world and test the Gunsmith, one firearm, one projectile and one attachment.
The addon contains two main packs and both should be enabled together.
- Place the Modern Military II Behavior Pack above other weapon, projectile or combat addons that modify the same vanilla systems.
- Place the Modern Military II Resource Pack above packs that replace the same gun, sound, particle or item textures.
- If another addon contains a custom player entity, projectile system, script module or firearm namespace, test the packs separately to avoid conflicts.
- Do not activate multiple addons that use the same item identifiers, entity identifiers or incompatible script API versions.
- If the addon is installed together with a general weapons addon, load Modern Military II after the other weapon pack when its textures or item behavior are being overwritten.
The Resource Pack declares a minimum engine version of 1.17.0. The Behavior Pack declares a minimum engine version of 1.20.80 and depends on beta versions of the Minecraft Server, Server UI and GameTest APIs. Therefore, the Behavior Pack determines the practical compatibility of the complete addon.
| Minecraft Bedrock Version |
Compatibility |
Reason |
| 1.17.x |
Not supported as a complete addon |
The Resource Pack declares 1.17.0, but the Behavior Pack requires newer engine and scripting features. |
| 1.18.x |
Not supported |
The Behavior Pack minimum version is higher than this release. |
| 1.19.x |
Not supported |
The Behavior Pack uses a 1.20.80 minimum engine declaration and beta APIs. |
| 1.20.0 to 1.20.79 |
Partially supported |
Some item and resource files may load, but the Behavior Pack minimum engine is 1.20.80. |
| 1.20.80 to 1.20.81 |
Good compatibility |
This range matches the declared minimum engine version of the Behavior Pack. |
| 1.20.90 to 1.20.100 |
Good compatibility |
Core item, recipe and function systems should work if the required beta APIs are available. |
| 1.21.0 to 1.21.30 |
Good compatibility |
The addon structure is suitable for modern Bedrock versions, subject to script API changes. |
| 1.21.40 to 1.21.80 |
Partially supported |
Older beta script dependencies may require experimental settings or may produce warnings. |
| 1.21.90 to 1.21.100 |
Partially supported |
Item and recipe systems may work, but script and entity behavior should be tested in a backup world. |
| 1.26.x and newer |
Partially supported and unverified |
The addon was built around older beta API dependencies. Compatibility depends on API migration and current Bedrock behavior changes. |
| Problem |
Possible Cause |
Solution |
| Weapons do not appear |
The Behavior Pack is not active or the item namespace is unavailable. |
Reactivate the Behavior Pack, enable experiments and test the item with a command. |
| Textures are missing |
The Resource Pack is disabled or loaded below another conflicting pack. |
Activate the Resource Pack and move it above conflicting texture packs. |
| Weapons have incorrect textures |
Another addon overwrites the same item texture or icon. |
Change the Resource Pack order or disable the conflicting weapon pack. |
| Recipes do not work |
The Behavior Pack is not loaded, the recipe file is not recognized or the required ingredients are incorrect. |
Use the exact materials listed in the recipe table and test the Gunsmith recipe first. |
| Scripts do not run |
The installed Minecraft version does not support the declared beta APIs. |
Use a compatible Bedrock release, enable required experiments and check the Behavior Pack dependencies. |
| Attachments disappear |
The wrong function was used or the attachment was placed in an incompatible slot. |
Clear the attachment slots and use the function matching the weapon. |
| Projectiles do not hit correctly |
Another projectile addon or script is interfering with the bullet entity. |
Test Modern Military II alone and then adjust the Behavior Pack order. |
| Explosions cause lag |
Grenades, rockets, visual effects or the tactical nuke create many effects at once. |
Use fewer explosive entities, lower simulation distance and avoid using the tactical nuke near important builds. |
| Commands return an unknown item error |
The item identifier is incorrect or the Behavior Pack is not active. |
Check the mw namespace and make sure the pack is enabled in the current world. |
| The world crashes when opening |
Script API incompatibility or conflict with another addon. |
Restore the backup, disable other script-based addons and test the pack in a new world. |
No. The files are structured as Minecraft Bedrock Edition Resource Pack and Behavior Pack content.
No. The addon is a modern military weapons addon. Its custom entities are mainly bullets, grenades, explosions, targets and visual effect entities.
Yes. The addon includes recipes for the Gunsmith, materials and many firearms. Some special items may be easier to obtain through Creative Mode or commands.
Yes. The Resource Pack provides the visual and audio assets, while the Behavior Pack provides recipes, items, functions, scripts and weapon behavior.
Some basic resource and item content may load without experiments, but the script module and advanced behavior may require experimental settings depending on the Minecraft version.
It may work in multiplayer when every player joins a world with the same packs enabled. Script API support, server settings and conflicting addons can affect multiplayer stability.
It is strongly recommended to test the tactical nuke in a separate world because explosive effects can damage terrain, entities and builds and may cause performance problems.
Use
/function clearatch to clear the configured attachment slots before applying another attachment setup.
The Behavior Pack manifest declares beta versions of the Minecraft Server, Server UI and GameTest APIs. This means compatibility depends on the API support provided by the installed Bedrock version.
The addon contains military-themed entities and vehicle-related sounds, but the available files primarily focus on firearms, projectiles, equipment and explosive systems. Vehicle behavior should be verified in the specific installed build.
