Furniture Builder Add-On 2.0 for Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.21.120+ turns a plain base into a fully decorated home with functional furniture, connected building pieces, interactive lighting, storage, and a library of ready-made structures. From a compact kitchen to a grand castle, the included packs give builders more ways to design, furnish, and personalize their worlds without introducing unrelated monsters or combat systems.
This guide is based on the actual Behavior Pack, Resource Pack, recipes, block definitions, entity definitions, and JavaScript files included in the supplied archive. The packs declare a minimum engine version of
1.21.120, share pack version
1.0.15, and rely on the Bedrock Script API. Compatibility on newer versions is not guaranteed merely by the manifest.
- Building and decor: walls, roofing, doors, windows, stairs and railings, plants, floors, curtains, lamps, cabinets, sofas, tables, festive decorations, and more.
- Interactive furniture: seating systems, storage-related entities, animated or configurable lights, garage doors, and basketball equipment.
- Customization: furniture variant tools, configurable visual effects, and furniture blocks that adapt to adjacent pieces.
- Structure system: a Structure Placer with 24 selectable blueprints found in the included script.
- Technical inventory: 65 behavior block definition files, 7 custom item definitions, 28 helper entity definitions, and 73 shaped recipe files. Duplicate recipe files are retained in the count.

- Create or open a world with both Furniture Builder packs enabled. For initial testing, use a Creative world and search the inventory for Furniture Builder items.
- In Survival mode, gather ordinary Minecraft materials such as planks, sticks, wool, stone, iron, glass, and quartz, following the recipes in section 5.
- Craft the Furniture Crafter using planks, a crafting table, and blue carpet. Place it, then open it to access recipes tagged for the custom furniture crafting table.
- Craft or obtain the Furniture Builder Guidebook and use it for in-game reference. Its entity is placed in the world; follow the on-screen guidance when interacting with it.
- Place furniture with enough clear space. Some blocks join neighboring pieces automatically and may spawn helper entities.
- Craft a Variant Selector (
lfg_ff:color_brush), Targeted Variant Selector (lfg_ff:variant_selector_small), or Variant Picker (lfg_ff:variant_picker).
- Hold the appropriate customization tool and interact with a supported furniture block. Its model, color, or material variant can change depending on the block and selected tool mode.
- Use the Furniture Wrench (
lfg_ff:furniture_wrench) with supported devices such as lamps, wall switches, and garage doors to access wireless connection settings.
- Use the Furniture Builder Settings item (
lfg_ff:settings_item) to access Ambient VFX, debugging settings, update information, and Vibrant Visuals controls.
- Place a chair, bench, sofa, bed, bathtub, or toilet, then interact with the supported sitting area. Several furniture categories create a rideable seat anchor.
- When seated, use the Sneak control to exit; the language file explicitly includes this interaction hint.
- Place kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, refrigerators, and ovens to access their scripted behavior. Storage-enabled furnishings can use associated inventory entities.
- Place a wall switch and a compatible lamp. Use the Furniture Wrench to configure matching wireless connection keys where the corresponding interface is available.
- For basketball, craft a Basketball item and Basketball Hoop, set up the hoop, and try the basketball interaction. Basketball handling is implemented through scripts and entities.
- Craft the Structure Placer with planks, wooden slabs, a stonecutter, iron ingots, and a Furniture Crafter.
- Put the Structure Placer in an open location with enough clearance for a large build.
- Interact with it to choose a house or other structure from its selection interface.
- Preview the selected blueprint and follow the on-screen requirements to supply building resources and complete placement. The system contains rotation and blueprint management controls.
- Back up the world before committing large structures or changing existing terrain.
Available blueprints (24): Modern House 1, Modern House 2, Contemporary House 1, Contemporary House 2, Japanese House 1, Japanese House 2, Medieval House 1, Medieval House 2, Farmhouse 1, Farmhouse 2, Provencal House 1, Provencal House 2, French Manor, French Manor Garden, Sunhouse 1, Sunhouse 2, Haunted Manor, Vampire Castle, Parisian Building 1, Parisian Building 2, Lofi Girl Apartment (Lyon), Lofi Girl Vacation House (Japan), Winter Cabin, Christmas Street.
- Egg incubation: not applicable; this add-on does not define hatchable creature eggs.
- Feeding and taming: not applicable; no newly tameable animals or dragons are defined.
- Riding: supported in the sense of sitting on furniture through hidden seat entities, not as an animal mount.
- Flying: no custom flight ability or rideable flying mob is defined.
- Resource gathering: collect standard Minecraft blocks and items listed in the recipe tables; no new ores or creature-drop farming mechanics are defined.
The archive contains
73 shaped recipe JSON files. The table lists every file, including two pairs of alternative/duplicate recipe entries. The 3 by 3 pattern is represented as three rows separated by
/; a period
. indicates an empty grid slot. Keys marked
tag accept the corresponding Minecraft ingredient group. For the recipes below, use the custom Furniture Crafter where the recipes require the
lfg_ff:furniture crafting tag.

Two pairs of recipe files intentionally produce the same output:
furniture_crafter /
furniture_crafter2 and
guidebook /
guidebook2. They are preserved as separate files in this exhaustive table. Exact ingredient references, including legacy-style item names, follow the supplied recipe JSON rather than an assumed substitution.
No custom armor set, weapon enchantment, damage bonus, or status-effect equipment is defined in the supplied addon. The notable special effects are furniture interactions, customization tools, visual effects, and build mechanics.
| Feature / Item |
Actual Behavior |
| Variant Selector, Targeted Variant Selector, Variant Picker |
Change selectable appearances on supported custom furniture blocks; targeted and regular selection can behave differently. |
| Furniture Wrench |
Configure supported wireless connections, notably lamps, switches, and garage doors. |
| Furniture Builder Settings Item |
Controls ambient particles and animated textures, debugging options, update log, and Vibrant Visuals settings. |
| Connected Furniture Blocks |
Several scripts link adjacent furniture, walls, cabinets, or structural modules into connected models. |
| Lamps and Street Lamps |
Light on/off behavior, glow effects, and optional atmospheric particles on supported variants. |
| Chairs, Benches, Sofas, Beds, Bathtubs, Toilets |
Spawn seat/helper entities to support interaction and seated poses; Sneak exits applicable seats. |
| Kitchen Furniture |
Fridges, cabinets, wardrobes, and ovens use helper entities for storage or food/item interactions. |
| Basketball and Hoop |
Scripted basketball throwing and hoop interactions. |
| Structure Placer |
Interactive blueprint selection, rotation, resource handling, and structure placement. |
The commands below use confirmed identifiers from the add-on. Enter them with cheats enabled in a test world. Commands that give blocks or items do not automatically configure all scripted interactions; the Behavior Pack and Resource Pack must still be active.

Avoid manually summoning support entities with
/summon or triggering internal
/scriptevent hooks unless you are specifically debugging the pack: many helpers are designed to be spawned and managed by furniture scripts.
- Download the English translated archive and extract it. Do not simply rename the outer ZIP to
.mcaddon because its root contains extra wrapper folders.
- Locate the inner folder named Furniture Builder Add-On 2.0 BP that directly contains
manifest.json and the Furniture Builder Add-On 2.0 RP folder that also directly contains manifest.json.
- For manual import, ZIP the contents of each inner pack directory separately, with
manifest.json at the archive root. Rename each individual archive from .zip to .mcpack. Alternatively copy the manifest-containing folders to the appropriate Minecraft behavior_packs and resource_packs locations for your platform.
- Open each
.mcpack with Minecraft Bedrock so it imports as a separate pack.
- Create or edit a world. Activate Furniture Builder Add-On 2.0 RP under Resource Packs and Furniture Builder Add-On 2.0 BP under Behavior Packs.
- Check that the world loads without missing dependencies; the Behavior Pack uses the Script API versions declared in its manifest.
- In Creative mode, find the Furniture Crafter and custom furniture, then test seating, a lamp, and the Structure Placer in a disposable world.
- Load order: the Resource Pack and Behavior Pack belong in separate activation lists. Neither can be placed "above" the other across lists. If you use conflicting furniture packs, place the Furniture Builder pack higher within the relevant pack list to prefer its overlapping resources or behaviors; better yet, isolate the add-on first to diagnose conflicts.
- Keep a backup before moving the add-on into an established Survival world.
Compatibility is assessed from the add-on manifests, not from installing and playtesting every Minecraft release.
Designed for means that the manifest declares that release as the minimum;
Unverified means the later game version may load the pack but its scripts and resource rendering need actual testing. Minecraft switched to the year-based public numbering scheme in 2026, so version 26.0 corresponds to the 1.26.0 creator-facing version family.
| Minecraft Bedrock Version |
Status |
Reason / What to Expect |
| 1.19.x and earlier |
Not supported |
Below the declared engine minimum; modern custom blocks and scripting APIs are not available. |
| 1.20.x |
Not supported |
Below the declared minimum 1.21.120. |
| 1.21.0 – 1.21.119 |
Not supported |
Lower than the explicit min_engine_version: [1,21,120]. |
| 1.21.120 |
Designed for this version |
Matches the pack manifest minimum. Actual gameplay has not been independently tested here. |
| 1.21.121 – 1.21.132 |
Unverified; may work |
Newer than the minimum, but script and furniture behavior should be tested. |
| 26.0 / internal 1.26.0 |
Unverified; may work |
A newer Bedrock release after the 2026 version-number change; runtime testing is still required. |
| 26.10 – 26.50 |
Unverified; may work |
Newer engine behavior could affect scripts, block components, and resource rendering. |
| 26.60 and later (1.26+ family) |
Unverified; may require an update |
The archive does not demonstrate compatibility with these newer releases. Check Script API errors and test world interactions before relying on it. |
For release-numbering information, see Microsoft Learn: Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.0 Update Notes and official Minecraft Bedrock release changelogs.
| Problem |
Likely Cause |
Recommended Fix |
| The add-on does not import |
The outer archive contains wrapper folders instead of a manifest at its root. |
Extract the archive, find each inner manifest-containing folder, and package/import each pack separately. |
| Furniture appears invisible, white, or purple |
Resource Pack is missing, disabled, or being overridden. |
Activate Furniture Builder RP and move it above conflicting resource packs in the Resource Pack list. |
| Furniture has no interaction |
Behavior Pack is disabled or the Script API failed to load. |
Activate the BP; test in the declared version first and review in-game content/script errors. |
| Recipes do not appear in a normal crafting table |
The recipe JSON files use the custom lfg_ff:furniture crafting tag. |
Use the Furniture Crafter rather than assuming all recipes work in a vanilla crafting table. |
| Two furniture sections do not connect |
Placement direction, available space, or variants differ. |
Reposition the pieces next to each other; try matching their variants and orientation. |
| Cannot exit a seat |
Player is riding a hidden seat entity. |
Use Sneak to dismount before interacting with another block. |
| A lamp does not respond to a switch |
Wireless keys may be missing or inconsistent. |
Use the Furniture Wrench on both devices and check that their configured keys match. |
| Structure blueprint will not place |
Insufficient space, resources, or scripting issues. |
Use an open test area, follow the Structure Placer UI, provide requested resources, and make a backup. |
| Effects or animations are missing |
Visual options may be disabled or graphics modes differ. |
Check the Settings item, ambient VFX toggles, and any Vibrant Visuals settings. |
| Newer Minecraft version causes script errors |
The add-on targets a particular Script API and engine baseline. |
Verify the version and dependencies; test an updated build or use the declared target release. |
