From The Fog Lite Addon for MCPE 1.21 – Optimized for Low-End Devices turns familiar Minecraft survival into an unsettling horror experience. When the world grows dark, even an ordinary trip through the forest can become frightening: distorted sounds, unexpected vision effects, and frightening creatures from the bundled ShadowCraft pack change how you explore, fight, and survive.

The most important discovery from examining the supplied ZIP is that this is a
seven-pack bundle, not just one From The Fog Lite addon. The core Lite behavior pack implements a sanity-style stress meter, sounds, a health display, and some unrelated utility scripts; the large ShadowCraft pack supplies the horror creatures, while Aplok Guns supplies weapons and equipment. Keeping those roles separate makes installation and gameplay much easier to understand.
1. Addon Overview and Main Features
- Horror and tension: The Lite script uses a numeric stress property starting at 1 on spawn and capped between 0 and 100. Its darkening effects begin around 70, and further warnings and random sounds can occur above 90.
- Day and night matter: The script increases this value at night and when hostile monsters are detected within about five blocks. During the day without nearby monsters, the value can decrease; being near a campfire accelerates that decrease.
- Haunting audio: The matching resource pack contains heartbeat, insanity, and swish audio files plus a HUD definition.
- Enemies and encounters: ShadowCraft V14.0 adds many horror enemies and scripted stalking/chasing behaviors, including The Man from the Fog, Cave Dweller, Herobrine, Wendigo, Midnight Lurker and others.
- Defensive equipment: Aplok Guns v1.1.3 includes 11 firearm item definitions, ammunition systems, gun workbenches, tactical armor, night-vision goggles, a grenade and a landmine.
- Other Lite scripts: The files also include a health-name display, sneak-and-axe tree cutting, and backpack support code. The required backpack entity definitions were not found in the supplied pack set, so backpack functionality should not be assumed to work.
- Performance note: Although the ZIP is named for low-end devices, it is about 110 MB compressed and contains multiple high-asset packs. No in-game benchmark is included; FPS and compatibility are not guaranteed.

Important: These are the actual top-level folders present in the provided ZIP, including separate Behavior Pack (BP) and Resource Pack (RP) folders. The minimum engine in a manifest is not a guarantee of compatibility with every later release. The health-bar resource pack references a dependency UUID that does not exist among the seven supplied manifests, so it may need an additional matching pack or a dependency fix.
All custom creature and event-entity definitions below come from the bundled ShadowCraft Behavior Pack. The Lite Behavior Pack by itself does not define these monsters. No rideable or tameable dragon was found in the actual creature definitions.

The Aplok Guns Behavior Pack additionally defines the entities
gabrielaplok:bullet and
gabrielaplok:m67_grenade_entity. These are weapon projectiles, not naturally spawning wildlife. Both packs also include a modification of
minecraft:player, which is not a new mob.
- Back up your existing worlds, then create a new test world using the same major Bedrock version targeted by this addon, preferably Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.0-era builds.
- Activate the matching Behavior Packs and Resource Packs. Turn on Beta APIs where available because both the Lite pack and Aplok Guns declare beta script dependencies.
- Begin in daylight, acquire standard tools and food, and use the daylight period to locate a safe shelter.
- The Lite script initially sets its dynamic property named
sanity to 1.0 when the player spawns. Despite its name, larger values represent worse conditions in the provided code.
- At night, the value goes up unless the script detects a nearby campfire. Hostile creatures within roughly five blocks also increase the value.
- In daylight without nearby monsters, the value decreases, and it decreases more quickly while a campfire is nearby. Taking damage increases the value by about
0.7.
- At values around 70–90, the script applies Darkness and Blindness, with occasional disturbing sound effects. Above 90, additional warning messages may appear.
- This is a reading of the included scripts, not a promise that the HUD or dynamic properties function correctly on every Bedrock version.
- Collect normal Minecraft resources such as iron, copper, coal, wood, gunpowder, redstone, string and gold for the listed crafting recipes.
- Craft the Gun Workbench, Ammo Workbench and Attachment Workbench from Aplok Guns to access its specialized systems. Some guns use recipes tagged for the Gun Workbench rather than the vanilla Crafting Table.
- In a test world with cheats enabled, use
/function ShadowCraft_V14.0 to receive the specific ShadowCraft items enumerated by that function, or use exact item IDs from the crafting table.
- Certain horror materials, such as
tmftf:man_scale and svs:starved_tooth, are defined without a normal crafting recipe. Their actual drops may depend on custom loot/functions; use Creative mode or /give for testing.
- Explore cautiously rather than trying to fight every horror mob. The ShadowCraft pack includes spawn rules for dozens of encounter types.
- If you hear sounds or see a stalking enemy, reach a secure area or prepare a ranged weapon if Aplok Guns is enabled and functioning.
- Check enemy loot and the recipes below; the files contain Starved Tooth, Man Scale and Tear of Man, but do not define harvestable dragon parts.
- The Lite script has optional tree cutting when sneaking with an axe. Because that script contains API references that may be incompatible with some releases, test it separately.
- Egg hatching: No custom dragon egg, incubation timer, hatch block or dragon-breeding recipe was found in the inspected Behavior Packs.
- Feeding and breeding: No player-facing dragon feeding, growing or breeding system is defined.
- Taming: No
minecraft:tameable components were found for the custom ShadowCraft horror entities. Do not assume you can tame the monsters.
- Riding and flight: The pack does not document a practical tame-and-ride or dragon-flight system. An internal rideable component on an unrelated entity is not evidence of an accessible mount feature.
The ZIP contains 58 files under recipe directories, but only
52 include valid top-level
minecraft:recipe_* entries. The other six ShadowCraft files are empty JSON objects and therefore do not describe usable recipes. In the tables, each recipe pattern uses
_ for an empty slot and
/ to separate rows; the letter legend lists the exact item IDs. Quantities are taken directly from the file.

The exact IDs are derived from the Behavior Pack definitions. If Minecraft reports an unknown item or entity, verify that its corresponding BP is active, check Content Log errors, and confirm API/version support.
- Download and back up the archive. Unzip it; the seven top-level folders each contain a nested folder holding
manifest.json and pack_icon.png. Import the innermost actual pack folder (the folder directly containing manifest.json), not the outer wrapper folder.
- On supported Bedrock platforms, package each inner BP or RP folder as an individual
.mcpack archive or copy the folder into development_behavior_packs or development_resource_packs as appropriate. Do not rename manifest UUIDs or break the folders.
- Install the main BP FTFlite + RP FromTheFog first and test the HUD/sound setup.
- If you want the actual hostile creatures, install BP ShadowCraf + RP ShadowCraf. Without this pair, the Lite pack alone does not add ShadowCraft monsters.
- For guns and tactical equipment, install BP Aplok Guns + RP Aplok Guns. Beta APIs is required by its manifest description.
- Only enable RP HEALTHBARE if the health glyph is needed, and check its manifest dependency: it references a UUID that is absent from the supplied bundle.
- Create a new test world, enable the matching packs under Behavior Packs and Resource Packs, enable Beta APIs if the game exposes that experiment, and read the game Content Log for any missing module or dependency error.
- Start the world and test the Lite HUD, one ShadowCraft enemy and a simple Aplok Guns item before importing an existing survival world.
- 1. RP FromTheFog — prioritize the sanity HUD overlay.
- 2. RP Aplok Guns — weapon models, controls and UI. If gun buttons disappear, temporarily swap this with FromTheFog and retest.
- 3. RP HEALTHBARE — optional glyph/health-bar resource.
- 4. RP ShadowCraf — horror mob models and sounds.
- 1. BP FTFlite — sanity and utility scripts.
- 2. BP Aplok Guns — gun/gameplay scripts.
- 3. BP ShadowCraf — horror entities, functions and spawn rules.
Load-order caveat: This is a testing order, not a confirmed fix.
RP FromTheFog and
RP Aplok Guns both modify UI files, so conflicts may require merging their HUD definitions; pack order alone may not combine both interfaces. The two Behavior Packs also both modify the player entity. If errors persist, test the pairs independently.
The data below is a cautious file-based assessment,
not a record of hands-on testing. The full bundle requires Aplok Guns with
min_engine_version 1.21.0, and both JavaScript packs reference
@minecraft/server 1.12.0-beta. Beta APIs can change incompatibly between versions, so a minimum engine number alone cannot guarantee operation. As of 2026, Mojang also uses
26.x Bedrock version numbers (for example, 26.40), rather than calling those releases 1.26.x.

A green status would require an actual verified test on the indicated release; no such testing was supplied. Orange means potentially usable only after testing and/or fixes, not that the whole bundle is verified. Official references:

| Issue |
Likely cause and action |
| Pack appears empty or does not import |
You selected the outer nested folder rather than the inner folder containing manifest.json. Repackage the inner folder as .mcpack. |
| No monsters appear |
The Lite BP alone does not add ShadowCraft monsters. Enable both ShadowCraft BP and RP, then inspect spawn rules and difficulty. |
| Sanity HUD is missing |
Ensure RP FromTheFog is enabled and test it without RP Aplok Guns; both edit HUD-related resources. |
| Guns do not load or controls are missing |
Enable both Aplok Guns packs, Beta APIs where available, and test the weapon UI pack above/below the fog UI pack. |
| Error about @minecraft/server 1.12.0-beta |
The manifest requests a beta API version that may not exist on the installed Bedrock release. This requires a compatible build or code/manifest migration. |
| Health display shows symbols or no icons |
The custom font glyph may be unavailable; RP HEALTHBARE also declares an unmatched dependency UUID in this archive. |
| Low FPS on budget phones |
Disable optional Aplok Guns or ShadowCraft packs, reduce graphics and simulation distance, and test the minimal Lite BP+RP pair. |
| Monsters spawn but are invisible or silent |
Ensure matching ShadowCraft RP is installed and prioritized correctly. |
| Tree cutting or backpack fails |
The tree script contains potentially incompatible API references; backpack script refers to bps: entities not provided in the seven pack manifests. |
| Crafting shows no recipes |
Some recipes require a specialized Aplok workbench and six ShadowCraft recipe files are empty. Confirm actual recipe IDs and correct station. |
| Player UI or inventory glitches |
Two RPs change UI files and two BPs change the player entity; isolate conflicting packs one pair at a time. |
| A world works in 1.21 but not in 26.x |
New script APIs, command grammar or custom UI may require updates; keep a separate backup of the original world. |
Yes, the accompanying ShadowCraft Behavior Pack includes several Herobrine states and an invocation item.
No. The ZIP contains seven pack folders. Most of the horror mobs are from ShadowCraft, not BP FTFlite.
The title suggests that intention, but the full ZIP is large and contains multiple packs. Actual FPS was not tested. Start with the Lite BP and RP only.
You cannot follow a custom dragon-hatching guide for this archive: the inspected packs do not contain such a system.
No custom monster taming or rideable-dragon flight mechanic was found in the relevant entity definitions.
In the code, higher numeric sanity values are actually harmful. Stay away from nearby hostile mobs, use daylight, and keep near a campfire to reduce the value.
At about 70 or above, the script applies vision-obscuring effects. Above 90, random warning messages and disturbing sounds may also occur.
No. There are 52 valid recipe entries and six empty ShadowCraft recipe JSON objects. Other materials may come from drops or commands.
You can test the Lite and ShadowCraft pairs separately, though pack dependencies and behavior should be checked in your own world.
The two relevant JavaScript Behavior Packs reference beta API modules. Aplok Guns explicitly asks for Beta APIs; enable it when your Bedrock version offers that experiment.
Not verified. Compatibility may require script and UI migration due to the beta dependencies and older commands.
Not directly. These are Bedrock/MCPE Behavior and Resource Packs, not Java Edition mods.

Final advice: For the most reliable trial, install From The Fog Lite BP+RP first; add ShadowCraft only when the base horror HUD works; then add Aplok Guns if you need survival weaponry. Keep a separate world backup before experimenting with the full seven-pack set.
