Demon Slayer: Mules Slayer is a combat-focused Minecraft Bedrock addon by Dapy that brings Nichirin sword techniques, breathing styles, Blood Demon Arts, families, ranks, custom demons, crafting materials, and anime-inspired equipment into survival gameplay. Build your character, choose a family, learn a breathing path, and master timing, guarding, movement, and special attacks in a world that remains compatible with normal Minecraft exploration.
- The addon is supplied as two linked packs: Demon-Slayer-BP and Demon-Slayer-RP.
- The Behavior Pack contains gameplay logic, JavaScript scripts, functions, recipes, items, entities, combat attributes, scoreboards, and spawn rules.
- The Resource Pack contains models, animations, textures, sounds, language names, and the visual presentation of the behavior features.
- The main progression is based on a Nichirin Sword, breathing books, player statistics, family perks, Demon Slayer ranks, and Blood Demon Art combat.
- The addon includes custom combat effects such as parrying, knockback, stun, cooldowns, projectiles, time-stop style effects, sword draw animations, and special attack particles.
- There is no breeding, egg incubation, ride, or flight system in the supplied files. The instructions for those systems are therefore not applicable to this addon.

- Activate both packs in a test world with cheats enabled when you need to inspect the addon quickly.
- Use the Creative inventory to locate the custom items, or use the documented
/give examples below.
- Start with a Nichirin Sword, then obtain a breathing book or Blood Demon Art item.
- Use the stats item to inspect your current attributes, family, rank, and progression.
- Craft or obtain Heavenly DNA.
- Hold Heavenly DNA and use it. The item starts the family roll and is consumed.
- Wait for the rolling action-bar sequence to finish. The result is assigned as a persistent family property.
- Families include Kamado, Tsugikuni, Kibutsuji, Tokito, Rengoku, Himejima, Shinazugawa, Kanroji, Uzui, Tomioka, Iguro, Agatsuma, Hashibira, Kocho, and Tsuyuri.
- Obtain one breathing book, such as the Book of Water Breathing or Book of Flame Breathing.
- Use the book according to its in-game interaction. The selected style controls Nichirin sword forms and available moves.
- Use the Reset Breathings book if you need to clear the current breathing selection.
- Hold the Nichirin Sword to draw it and activate the style-specific combat controls. Sneaking changes some inputs and sword actions.
- Obtain the Blood Demon Art item with identifier
dapy:bda.
- Hold the item and use it to access its combat input system.
- Do not hold the Blood Demon Art and Nichirin Sword at the same time when testing a move set; each item has its own input state.
- This addon does not define creature eggs, incubation timers, breeding data, taming events, saddles, rideable components, or flight controls.
- Basic Demon and the other combat entities are spawned or created by the addon systems; they are not raised from eggs.
- Haganezuka is an interaction NPC, not a rideable or tameable mount.
- Mine or obtain the custom Raw Scarlet Iron item, identifier
item:raw_scarlet_iron.
- Smelt Raw Scarlet Iron in a furnace to produce a Scarlet Iron Ingot.
- Use the ingot to craft a Nichirin Sword. The recipe accepts either of the two diagonal sword patterns listed below.
- Use iron, redstone, and glowstone dust to create Scarlet Iron Ingots when you have no raw ore available.
- Diamonds and a Nether Star are required for Heavenly DNA.

- Import or copy the Demon-Slayer-BP and Demon-Slayer-RP packs into the Minecraft Bedrock development or resource/behavior pack locations appropriate for your device.
- Open Minecraft Bedrock and create a new world or edit an existing world.
- Activate Demon Slayer: Mules Slayer [BP] under Behavior Packs.
- Activate Demon Slayer: Mules Slayer [RP] under Resource Packs.
- Keep both packs enabled in the same world. Do not remove the linked pack dependency.
- For the safest result, place this addon above other packs that replace player animations, sword models, the same custom namespaces, or the same gameplay scripts.
- Enable cheats for command testing. After entering the world, wait for the initialization functions to create the scoreboard objectives.
- Test the setup by obtaining a Nichirin Sword and using one breathing book. If the sword is invisible, check that the Resource Pack is enabled and loaded above conflicting visual packs.
Load Order note: the Behavior Pack must be active, and the Resource Pack must be active with its dependency satisfied. If another addon changes the player entity, custom animations, camera permissions, scoreboard logic, or sword rendering, place Mules Slayer above that conflicting pack or disable the conflicting addon.
| MCPE / Bedrock version |
Compatibility |
Reason |
| 1.20.50 |
Good |
Matches the Behavior Pack minimum engine version. |
| 1.20.60 |
Good |
Matches the Resource Pack minimum engine version and the pack dependency structure. |
| 1.20.80 |
Good |
Uses the same modern Bedrock scripting and pack format family; test custom animations after import. |
| 1.21.0 to 1.21.50 |
Good |
Expected to work with the declared @minecraft/server 1.19.0 dependency, subject to platform testing. |
| 1.21.60 to 1.21.90 |
Partial |
Core packs may load, but script APIs, animation behavior, and camera/input commands can change between releases. |
| 1.26.0 to 1.26+ |
Partial |
The addon declares older engine and script API targets. It may load with compatibility support, but it is not authored specifically for 1.26+. |
| Below 1.20.50 |
Not supported |
The Behavior Pack minimum engine version is 1.20.50 and the Resource Pack requires at least 1.20.60. |
Compatibility colors describe the declared pack requirements and likely API behavior, not a guarantee for every device or preview build. Always make a world backup before testing a new Bedrock version.
| Problem |
Solution |
| Items have missing names or purple textures |
Enable the Resource Pack, confirm that it is the matching 2.0.0 version, and move conflicting visual packs below it. |
| The sword does not use breathing moves |
Hold a breathing book to learn a style, hold the Nichirin Sword in the main hand, and test with cheats enabled in a fresh world. |
| The family roll does not start |
Use Heavenly DNA directly, verify that the item is dapy:heavenly_dna, and check that scripts are enabled and the Behavior Pack is active. |
| Commands are unknown |
Check spelling and namespace IDs, use command autocomplete, and confirm that cheats and operator permissions are enabled. |
| Entities do not spawn naturally |
Check difficulty, mob spawning, the Basic Demon spawn rule, and whether another pack overrides spawn settings. |
| Animations or camera controls behave incorrectly |
Disable packs that modify player animations or input permissions, then test Mules Slayer alone. |
| The world shows repeated setup messages |
Allow the initialization functions to finish after joining. If the issue persists, test in a newly created world without old scoreboard data. |

Use Heavenly DNA to start the family roll. The item is consumed when the roll begins.
The language files name Water, Flame, Thunder, Wind, Sound, Insect, Beast, Flower, Love, Serpent, Stone, Sun, Moon, and Mist books. The supplied implementation contains detailed move files for several styles, while some named books may be intended for future or extended content.
No. It requires at least the versions declared in the manifests. Newer releases may work partially, but script and animation changes can require an update.
