DeadZ, also known as Dead Land, is a zombie-apocalypse survival addon for Minecraft Bedrock Edition. It changes the survival experience with infected civilians, infected military units, hazmat enemies, marauders, firearms, ammunition, medical supplies, thirst management, vehicles, clothing, armor, barricades, loot locations, and post-apocalyptic structures. The project credits NekoZack as its creator and contains separate Behavior Pack and Resource Pack files that must be installed together.
- The addon is designed around an outbreak-survival scenario rather than normal Minecraft progression.
- Weapons use separate ammunition types and scoreboard values, so reloading is an important part of combat.
- Medical items support healing, antidote treatment, morphine treatment, splints, bandages, and adrenaline.
- A thirst scoreboard is included. Drinking water and other drinks is necessary for long expeditions.
- Loot blocks, barricades, military equipment, furniture, roads, and ruined structures help create an abandoned-world setting.
- The files include no dragon, egg-hatching, or breeding system. The creatures are spawned as entities or through spawn eggs.

- Activate both DeadZ packs in a test world first.
- Enable cheats if you want to test the addon with commands.
- Use the Creative inventory to find DeadZ weapons, ammunition, food, drinks, medicine, clothing, armor, melee tools, materials, grenades, vehicles, and spawn eggs.
- For direct testing, use the exact identifiers shown in the item or entity files, such as
mcpe:ak47, mcpe:5.56mm, or mcpe:sedan. Identifier availability can vary if a file is renamed in a future release.
This addon does not contain an egg-hatching, taming, or breeding mechanic. Spawn eggs create entities immediately. The included food and medical systems are for player survival, not for raising creatures.
- Search buildings and loot blocks for canned food, drinks, medical supplies, ammunition, and equipment.
- Eat canned food, MREs, jerky, fruit, vegetables, chocolate, or tactical sandwiches when hunger is low.
- Drink bottled water and other drinks to restore thirst. The water item adds 10 thirst points and caps the scoreboard at 20.
- Carry bandages, a first aid bag, morphine, an antidote, and a splint before entering military or infected areas.
There is no conventional mob-taming system in the files. Vehicles are rideable entities rather than tameable animals. Spawn a sedan or motorcycle, approach it, and use the normal Bedrock interact control to mount it. If a vehicle cannot be mounted, verify that both packs are active and that the world supports the vehicle entity.
- Collect sticks for splints and basic survival crafting.
- Collect rags for medical crafting.
- Collect nails and barbed wire for improvised melee weapons.
- Collect syringes and filled medical bottles for morphine, antidote, and adrenaline.
- Collect the correct ammunition for each firearm: 5.45 mm, 5.56 mm, 7.62 mm, 9 mm, 12 gauge, .44 Magnum, .45 ACP, .300 Magnum, and .357 Magnum.
- Use loot blocks such as civilian, firefighter, medical, military woodland, police, and rare loot containers where available.

- Make a backup of the world before installing the addon.
- Import or copy the
NewDeadZ BP folder as a Behavior Pack and the NewDeadZ RP folder as a Resource Pack using the Bedrock-compatible installation method for your device.
- Create a new test world or open the target world settings.
- Activate DeadZ (BP) in Behavior Packs.
- Activate DeadZ (RP) in Resource Packs.
- Keep the matching versions together: both manifests currently use version 0.0.1 and explicitly depend on each other.
- Place DeadZ above packs that replace the same player, weapon, entity, sound, or UI assets. Place unrelated terrain packs below or above it according to their own instructions.
- Enable any experimental toggles requested by your installed Minecraft version if custom items or entities fail to load.
- Enter the world and run
/function DZ.ammoStart once if the weapon counters or thirst system have not initialized.
- Test one spawn egg, one weapon, one ammunition type, one drink, and one vehicle before beginning a long-term world.
| Minecraft version |
Compatibility |
Reason |
| 1.20.x |
Good |
The folder name targets Minecraft PE 1.20+, and the packs use older Bedrock item and entity formats. |
| 1.21.0 to 1.21.50 |
Good |
Most legacy item, animation, function, and resource definitions remain supported, subject to device testing. |
| 1.21.60 to 1.21.90 |
Partial |
Older custom item components, UI behavior, and entity syntax may require experiments or small compatibility adjustments. |
| 1.21.100 to 1.21.130 |
Partial |
Newer Bedrock changes can affect custom components, attachables, animations, and command behavior. Test before using a main world. |
| 1.26.x and later |
Not officially supported |
The manifests declare a minimum engine of 1.8.0 but do not declare verified support for modern 1.26+ changes. Revalidation or updates may be required. |
Compatibility labels are based on the pack formats present in this folder, not on an official compatibility statement for every Minecraft release. Always test on a copy of the world.
- Invisible items or entities: confirm that the Resource Pack is active and loaded together with the Behavior Pack.
- Unknown item or entity: check the identifier spelling and confirm that cheats and the correct pack are enabled.
- Weapons do not fire: run the ammunition initialization function, carry the matching ammunition, and verify that the weapon scoreboard has not been reset.
- Thirst does not display: run
/function DZ.ammoStart, then drink bottled water and run /function thirst.
- Vehicles cannot be ridden: reload the world with both packs active and test the entity in a new world without conflicting vehicle addons.
- Missing sounds or animations: move DeadZ above conflicting resource packs in Load Order and avoid duplicate weapon or player animation replacements.
- Recipes are unavailable: use a crafting table or altar as specified, and check that the ingredient identifiers are from DeadZ rather than similarly named items from another addon.
- World corruption or severe errors: remove the addon only from a backup copy, inspect the content log, and do not delete the original world.
No. The entity files are focused on infected humans, marauders, survivors, and vehicles. No dragon system is included.

Yes. The Behavior Pack provides gameplay while the Resource Pack provides the corresponding visuals, animations, sounds, and text.
The
DZ.ammoStart function initializes thirst at 20 and sets default magazine scores for weapons such as the Glock 17, AK-47, M4A1, MP5, UMP45, RPK, and others.
No official 1.26+ verification is included in the files. Treat 1.26+ as unsupported until the pack is tested and updated.
